I gotta get out of here

First post. Haved decided that it is North to Alaska. Moved to California from British Columbia. Hate it here. Why you ask? Lots of OBJECTIVE reasons. The heat. The only thing that grows here is "star thistle". It is less fun than you might imagine. Look at the pic and imagine that is the ONLY alive thing for miles. You can't walk without getting covered in burrs and getting so scratched that you want to die. Or at least it feels that way when you have to clean your leg hairs. They say California is the land of "milk and honey". But the only vegetation besides pine oak trees is dead grass, star thistle and burrs. The smallest cow and the most midgety bee would starve to death if the two of them had the entire state to feed off of. What else? The ban on the .50 cal rifle. Guns cause crime like flies cause garbage. Taxes. The Three Strikes law. Don't get me started on the law in California generally. The Courts and Legislature are as busy grabbing the rights of the People as they can be. Meanwhile, the People dance to the clatter of the approaching cattle cars as if it were music. It is unbelieveable. Maybe it is because I am a foreigner that I see it. Don't fool yourself: California is not a blue state. The lack of rain for five months a year. These are some of the general things. More specific items to follow.

The worst part about California is the annoying malcontents who constantly cry about moving back to their "homeland".
